Common questions
What is the difference between ECA-LP1 and ECA Series?+−
The LP1 is a potentiostat/galvanostat/impedance analyser with ±5 V, 250 mA, and 1 MHz EIS. The ECA Series (5M, 500k, Zero) are potentiostats only, at ±2 V, 50 mA. They are optimised for high-bandwidth impedance (up to 5 MHz) but without galvanostat mode or onboard storage.
What software is included?+−
Sensitify Studio. Free for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Supports CV, LSV, CA, CP, EIS, SWV, DPV. Includes auto circuit fitting, peak detection, and a local LLM assistant. Export to Excel, ASCII, PNG, PDF.
What electrochemical techniques are supported?+−
CV, LSV, CA, CP, EIS, SWV, DPV, and more are built in. New techniques are added regularly via firmware updates. If you need something specific, the instrument can be updated over USB via the bootloader. No hardware changes required.
Can I run several instruments from one PC?+−
Yes. The software supports multiple instruments at once, each in its own session window. They run independently, so a long EIS sweep on one does not block a CV on another.
Do you ship internationally?+−
Yes, worldwide. Lead time is 2 to 3 weeks. Customs and duties are handled by the recipient.
